On July 4, 2026 — a day already made for celebration — a baby boy arrived in Houston, Texas, and gave one family a reason to celebrate all its own.

Weighing a healthy 7 pounds 15 ounces and born at 39 weeks and 1 day, he made his entrance right on time, following a smooth vaginal delivery with no complications. For his intended mother, this Independence Day will forever mean something more: the day her long-awaited path to parenthood reached its happiest milestone.

Every journey has its own rhythm. When the first embryo transfer didn't result in a pregnancy, the gestational carrier and the Ivy Surrogacy team regrouped with patience and steady hope. The second transfer brought the news everyone had been waiting for — and from that moment through delivery, the pregnancy unfolded beautifully, with a healthy carrier and no complications along the way.

None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary woman who carried this pregnancy from embryo transfer through delivery. Her dedication, her care, and her generosity of spirit gave a mother her son. To her we say the words that will never feel like enough: thank you.

Ivy Surrogacy was proud to stand beside both women throughout. Case manager Slonne flew in from Los Angeles to Houston to support the gestational carrier and the intended mother in person, making sure that during this once-in-a-lifetime chapter, neither of them felt alone.

To the new mother: congratulations. This little boy was waited for, hoped for, and deeply loved long before his first breath.

Every family's road to parenthood looks different — single or partnered, same-sex or heterosexual, here at home or across the world — and every one of them is welcome here. If you're dreaming of the family you hope to build, we'd love to hear from you; learn more about starting your journey as an intended parent. And to the women who make these stories possible: if you've ever imagined giving another family this kind of joy, you can apply to become a surrogate today.
