Kelli has a deep rooted background in OBGYN and Fertility. From a young age she wanted to work with families and babies. Starting at the age of 10 she went to work with her mother at a family clinic for the under privileged that focused on OBGYN and pediatrics. She later volunteered at that clinic for many years to earn her high school volunteer hours and because she liked the work she was doing. During her years in college to put herself through school she was a nanny and babysitter helping take care of children. During that time she learned what IVF, egg donation and surrogacy consisted of.
A few years after graduating with a Bachelors in Psychology and minor in Women’s Studies from California Lutheran University; Kelli found a job working for a surrogacy and egg donation agency. She started with doing intake for surrogacy and helping with egg donation. A few months later the agency needed a case manager and Kelli stepped into that role and loved every aspect of it. She took other opportunities working in fertility clinics and other agencies, She even helped an egg donor agency move into the surrogacy realm.
Kelli then starting wanting to focus on trying to have a family of her own; she faced the same issues that her clients were having to deal with. After multiple miscarriages and an IVF cycle where she found out she had a genetic issues that would prohibit her from having a biological child of her own. Upon further medical tests she found out pregnancy would be life threatening.
After these discoveries, it was Kelli’s mission to find an agency that aligned with her personal values and mission to help families one baby at a time. IVY Surrogacy has been that agency.
“Fertility struggles are heartbreaking and knowing first hand how challenging creating a family can be, I want to treat each case with as much compassion as possible.”
