Date of Birth: May 17, 2026 (early morning) Location: Modesto, California Weight: 6 lbs, 9 oz Gestational Age: 39 weeks Delivery: Vaginal
There is something quietly extraordinary about a baby who arrives before the sun does. In the early-morning hours of May 17, 2026, a healthy baby girl entered the world in Modesto, California — 6 pounds, 9 ounces, full-term at 39 weeks, delivered vaginally, and perfectly well. While most of the city was still asleep, a family that had waited a long while for this moment finally got to meet their daughter.
A Second Journey, and a Single Transfer
This birth carries a story that began well before delivery day. The woman who carried this baby is a proven surrogate — someone who had already completed a full surrogacy journey for another family before choosing to do it all again with Ivy Surrogacy. That decision says a great deal. Carrying a child for someone else is not a small undertaking, and a surrogate who returns for a second journey is telling us, in the clearest way possible, that the experience was one worth repeating.
Her second journey unfolded with remarkable grace. A single embryo transfer was all it took — pregnancy was confirmed on the first attempt, and from there the months moved forward steadily, from transfer through delivery, without medical hurdles, all the way to a calm 39-week arrival. First-transfer success is never guaranteed, and when it happens alongside an experienced carrier and a healthy full-term baby, it is the kind of outcome everyone hopes for at the very start.
Being There — Even When It Means Driving Through the Night
We want to share one detail about delivery day that we are especially proud of. When word reached our team that the birth was close, our Client Director, Kelli, set out to be there in person. By that point in the evening of May 16, there were no remaining flights into the Modesto area. So Kelli did the only thing that made sense to her: she got in her car and drove.
She made the long overnight drive and was there in Modesto in person — there for the surrogate, there for the intended parents, and there to meet the newest member of the family. We mention this not to applaud ourselves, but because it reflects something we genuinely believe — that the milestones of a surrogacy journey deserve a real human presence, not a phone call from a distance. When a flight isn't an option, the road still is. Kelli made sure of it.
With Gratitude and Congratulations
To our surrogate: thank you. Thank you for trusting this process a second time, for carrying this pregnancy with such steadiness, and for the generosity it takes to help a family become whole. Your place in this family's story is permanent.
And to the intended parents: congratulations. The wait is over, and your daughter is here. We are honored to have walked this road beside you, and we cannot wait to watch your family grow into this new chapter.
