Today brought tremendous relief and gratitude for everyone involved.
Our baby boy was born in San Antonio, Texas, on October 6, 2025, at 39 weeks, through an induced vaginal delivery.
The pregnancy had progressed smoothly, and the anatomy scan earlier on showed everything was normal. However, during a recent follow-up ultrasound, doctors detected a mass in the baby’s heart and suspected it might be a cardiac rhabdomyoma — a benign heart tumor. The news came as a great shock to the intended parents and our team, and everyone immediately prepared for possible complications after birth.
To ensure the best medical outcome, the surrogate was scheduled to deliver at one of Texas’s leading children’s hospitals, where specialized care would be available if needed. Our case manager, Cindy, flew from Los Angeles to San Antonio to personally support both the intended parents and the surrogate, helping coordinate every step with the medical team.
When the baby was finally born, the results were better than anyone had dared to hope — his heart function was stable, and surgery is not needed at this time. He also did not require any supplemental oxygen. Although further evaluations are planned to monitor his heart closely, this outcome has brought great comfort and relief to everyone.
We are deeply thankful for the dedicated medical staff, our caring surrogate, and the trust of the intended parents. At Ivy Surrogacy, we are committed to standing by every family — ensuring that no matter what challenges arise, they always have expert guidance and full support along the way.
