At Ivy Surrogacy, we are committed to making the egg donation journey as clear and supportive as possible. Here’s what you can expect when you decide to become an egg donor with us:
Begin your journey by completing our comprehensive online application. This form collects basic information about your health, lifestyle, and medical history.
Once your application is reviewed, and if it meets our initial criteria, you will be matched with intended parents who are looking for someone with your unique characteristics to help build their family.
After a successful match, you will undergo thorough evaluations to ensure you are ready for the donation process. This includes:
Medical Screening: You will receive a physical examination and blood tests to check for diseases and overall health. This screening also includes genetic testing to check for common genetic conditions that could be passed on to a child.
Psychological Assessment: A psychological evaluation will be conducted to ensure you are mentally prepared for the emotional aspects of egg donation.
After completing your medical and psychological evaluations, you will engage in a legal consultation. This step is vital to ensuring that all parties understand their rights and responsibilities. During this stage, you will review and sign the egg donation contract with the intended parents. This contract ensures that everyone's rights are protected and clarifies the expectations of the donation process.
After the screenings and legal consultations, you will begin a course of hormone therapy to stimulate growth of your eggs in your ovaries. This involves taking injections for approximately 10-14 days. You will visit a partnering clinic regularly for monitoring, which includes ultrasound scans and blood tests to check your response to the hormones.
Once your eggs are ready for retrieval, a minor surgical procedure will be performed under sedation at a partnered clinic. The process takes about 20-30 minutes, during which eggs are gently aspirated from the ovaries using a needle guided by ultrasound.
After the retrieval, you will have time to rest and will be monitored until you are ready to go home. Most donors fully recover within a few days. We schedule a follow-up appointment to ensure your recovery is going well and to address any concerns or questions you might have.
Upon successful completion of the egg retrieval, you will receive compensation as a token of gratitude and recognition for your time, effort, and dedication to helping others achieve their dream of parenthood.
Our relationship with you does not end after the egg retrieval process. Ivy Surrogacy offers ongoing support and counseling to ensure you are well taken care of even after your donation journey has concluded.
