- CDC National ART Surveillance System clinic datasets, reporting years 2020–2022; NPI Registry; clinic websites.
- Volume estimate = the CDC's reported all-ages share of transfers that used a gestational carrier × the program's total transfers (the transfer count the CDC uses as that share's denominator). Both figures come from the clinic's own CDC dataset for that year.
- CDC datasets are published with a lag of several years, and the field has since seen many mergers, acquisitions and renamings. Clinic names, networks and offices are updated from each clinic’s own website as best we can and may still be out of date; the CDC-registered name is kept on every profile for reference. Volume figures are indications of scale, not current or exact counts.
- CDC: "Comparison of success rates across clinics may not be meaningful due to differences in patient populations and ART treatment methods."
- Where the CDC suppressed the all-ages carrier share, the estimate instead weights the reported age-group shares by the program's own-egg transfers in each group and scales the result to total transfers; such estimates are marked on the clinic page.
- Clinics where Ivy has completed journeys are listed even when they fall outside the top 52; their rank is their actual position among all U.S. clinics with a volume estimate.
- Programs that have merged into another clinic or closed since the CDC’s reporting year are not listed separately; the next programs by volume take their place, each shown with its actual national rank.
- A practice that reports to the CDC as several programs, for example one for each of its laboratories, is listed as one clinic: the programs’ counts are added together and the clinic is ranked on the total. Shares by patient age and live-birth rates cannot be added, so its page shows them for each program.
- Clinics the CDC lists as non-reporters for a year have no figures for that year; their pages say so and they are not ranked.
